Warranty Policy

Atrust Limited Hardware Warranty Policy

(“Atrust”) hereby warrants to a direct purchaser of its products (“Customer”) that its hardware product is free from defect in materials and workmanship under normal use (“Defect”) for a period of one (1) year from the purchase date. Atrust does not warrant that its hardware product is without interruption or is without error in operation. Atrust Limited Hardware Warranty does not extend to products with serial number or warranty label removed, replaced or damaged beyond recognition, nor does it cover products that are with Defect due to:

2.Special Conditions on Bright/Dark pixel defects

LCD panels are made up of millions of micro electronic pixels. If one pixel no longer functions, it will become a bright or dark pixel. In modern LCD manufacturing process, although the yield rate is up to 90 percent, it is still not uncommon for one or more pixels to become fixed in an unchanging state. However, to provide Customer with better user experiences, Atrust will provide warranty services prescribed in Section 4 herein for LCD panels that exceed the following criteria within the one (1)-year warranty term:

(1) More than 6 dark pixel defects; or

(2) More than 5 bright pixel defects; or

(3) More than 8 total combined bright and dark pixel defects.

Bright/Dark pixel defect: A pixel that remains permanently lit, resulting in a white or colored dot on a black background, is called a bright pixel or bright dot. A pixel that remains permanently unlit, resulting in a black dot on a red, green, or blue background, is called a dark pixel or dark dot. Only bright or dark dots visible to naked eye at more than 30 centimeters viewing distance would be considered as Bright/Dark pixel defects.

3.Limitations of Liabilities

THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES CONTAINED HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY LIABILITY ARISING UNDER ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, AND REMEDIES SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. ATRUST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

4.Warranty Services

Atrust will, at its sole discretion, either repair or replace products with Defect free of charges.

Atrust may, at its sole discretion, use (1) new components, (2) used but equivalent-to-new components, or (3) components that are refurbished but as functional as new components, to repair or replace defective products. Customer shall properly pack defective products, and shall pay for freight for returning defective products, while Atrust shall pay for freight for shipping repaired or replacement products

For replacement parts/products, Atrust provides a hardware warranty term of ninety (90) days or the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer. The components or products that are replaced shall be Atrust’s properties.

If a product is not operational under normal use due to substantial Defect within fifteen (15) days after its purchase date and is not subject to exceptions as indicated in Section 1 of this policy (“Dead on Arrival, or DOA”), Customer may contact Atrust or its distributor for return of such DOA product for replacement.  If a DOA claim is made, Customer shall return DOA product with all accessories in its original and complete packaging. Atrust will pay for all freight charges so incurred. If a returned product does not comply with the DOA criteria indicated herein above, Customer shall pay for all freight charges instead.

When returning products to Atrust for services, Customer shall submit valid proof of purchase. If Customer is unable to provide valid proof of purchase, the warranty term shall start from the manufacture date as indicated in the product’s serial number instead.

Atrust is not responsible for loss of Customer’s program or data stored in the returned product. Customer is advised to back up or protect program or data by other means in advance of requesting Atrust’s services.
